Welcome to The Sugar Zone! It's the 2013 Muhlenberg Arts Camp!
Muhlenberg Arts Day Camp is a week-long, nonresidential camp that provides students with a chance to have new artistic experiences, find new ways to express themselves, and have fun learning a variety of art forms all while learning the importance of healthy eating habits. Camp is open to students enrolled in grades 1-8. Camp will be divided into two sessions. The morning session is for children in grades 1-4. The afternoon session is for children in grades 5-8. Classes will consist of dance, drama, visual art, vocal music, hand bells (for morning only), dulcimer (for afternoon only), guitar (for afternoon only), and piano. At the end of the week the students will participate in an Arts Showcase at the Felix E. Martin, Jr. Hall. Families are invited to attend. Students will take home any projects they have completed throughout the week on the night of the Arts Showcase.

Are You Ready to be Mystified by Modern Day Houdinis?
Spencers Theatre of Illusion, September 7th, 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for Adults, $5 for Students (ages 3-18)
Theatre of Illusion is much more than a magic show. It is a magical concert for your eyes. And it is one of the largest touring illusion productions on the road. Audiences cross over a threshold of disbelief only moments after the Spencers take the stage. The duo presents a big, high-tech stage show that combines drama, comedy, romance, and suspense with elaborate stage illusions that include dazzling special effects and magnificent set design.
The Spencers' production is a unique fusion of magic and illusion, humor and mystery, and persona and personality. Theatre of Illusion stands in stark contrast to the traditional magic show. Spencer sees it not as a stage full of tricks used to fool people, but as a way to inspire viewers with a sense of wonder. By blending the theatrical elements of a Broadway-style production with the high energy of a rock concert, these artists take their audience on a journey to the brink of impossibility... and back again. Audience members don't simply watch the show, but are also invited to participate in the magic. Using magic much like a storyteller uses words, Kevin fuses this family-friendly production with a gamut of emotions. And with the skills of a master showman, he creates a world where nothing is impossible and anything can happen. The Spencers have been described as "Modern Day Houdinis" by the critics. The duo presents a big, high-tech stage show that combines drama, comedy, romance and suspense with elaborate stage illusions.
